Staff at Special K Ranch is made up of people who are committed to the concept of Christian community living with people who developmental disabilities.
Each of the six homes on the ranch has live-in home advisors. This may be a single person, married couple, or married couple with children. Home advisors live with four residents in a large comfortable home. Every household functions as a family group.
In the case of a married couple in a home, one spouse works as a vocational advisor during the work hours. This is a teaching, supervising, and laboring position with four residents.
Home advisors and vocational advisors receive a salary plus full medical, food, housing, paid vacation and all travel related to the job.
LIVE-IN HOME ADVISOR
Position available for a married couple to live in-home with four adults who have developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities include managing the household and assisting the residents with their independent living skills. Also supervising a work crew in the greenhouses or on the ranch.
